Welcome to Faroe Islands

We had a great day hiking to the Lake above the ocean; perfect weather and Jóhan was very informative and interesting to talk to.

The tour was a fantastic way of seeing the dramatic scenery of the northern islands. Eilsa Maria was an excellent guide; very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We enjoyed spending time with other visitors to the islands

We had a wonderful evening with Rigmor and Jens Mortan, discovering more about Faroese culture and its everyday life. Dinner was fascinating in every way, from the food to the conversations. We learned so much from our hosts' anecdotes (many things you won't find in the guidebooks...). And we ate fish prepared in every way imaginable: a truly royal meal! You just have to find the house that isn't painted red!

It was really beautiful tour although we went too early in the season. We will have to come back in summer time too

A great tour held by Elsa Maria. It was both informative and inspiring as well as beautiful and fun, all with a personal touch.

Super interesannte Tour an einem stürmisch, regnerischen Tag. Kleine Gruppe in bequemem Minibus. Die Reiseleiterin war sehr versiert und konnte alle Informationen sehr gut vermitteln. Ich war am Vortag bei sonne und blauem Himmel bereits an zwei Orten, welche wir besuchten. Sehr eindrücklich, wie sich die Wetterverhältnisse ändern.
Gutes Zeitmanagement mit Kaffeehalt am Vormittag, ordentlichem Mittagessenhalt in einem gemütlichen Restaurant und am Nachmittag ein Überraschungssnack ;-). Ausreichend Zeit bei den Photostop und trotzdem effinizent durchgeführte Rundreise, welche keinerlei Langeweile oder "durchhänger"-Momente aufkommen lässt. Angenehm waren auch die diversen kurzen Spaziergänge. Empfehlenswert für Gäste, welche kompakt die mittleren Inseln besuchen möchten.

Ein einmaliges Erlebnis mit Köstlichkeiten aus dem Meer und Garten in unerwarteten Variationen. Beginnend mit der sehr leckeren Suppe, über die Vorspeisenvarianten bis hin zum Hauptgang und Dessert. Alles 100% lokal und Färöer-Küche.
Abendessen im Speisezimmer der Familie mit Blick in die Küche und auf die Bucht. Zu jedem Gang gab es interessante Informationen zum Alltag, zum Fischfang aber auch zu besonderen Erlebnissen der ganstgebenden Famile. Ich empfehle dieses Abendessen allen, die mit Einheimischen in Kontakt kommen möchten, Meeresfrüchte schätzen und sich auch auf unerwartete "Geschmacks-Explosionen" einlassen können.

Es war ein sonniger Vorabend an dem ich den interessanten Informationen von Jens lauschen konnte. Sein Hintergrundwissen und die offenen Kommunikation ist top. Wir sind gemütlich u.A. durch die Innenstadt entlang den bekannten POI, aber auch durch Gassen abseits der Hautpstrassen und bis zum Skansin geschländert. Der Besuch des Doms mit zufälligem Orgelspiel war sehr eindrücklich. Aufgrund einer geänderten Folgebuchung zum Abendessen, war sogar eine Vorverlegung des Starttermines möglich. Danke auch, dass diese Tour sogar als "solo"-Tour in der Nebensaison möglich war, nicht selbstverständlich.

We had such a wonderful time with Jens and Rigmor in their home for dinner. The food was excellent and we enjoyed getting to know more about them and life in the Faroes. We immediately felt welcomed and comfortable and highly recommend taking advantage of this experience.

Again a excellent five star tour I did a tour with Ditte ;) As the other on this day don't go on because of weather conditions (which I totally understand), I was looking for a alternative and contact her because of good experience with some other tours I did with her before. I really feel comfortable with her and have good talks about everything. I have guides in the past on other destinations which are like once and not again. Lots of beautiful photography made from her of mine. I would definitely do a photography tour with her if you’re into that. We seen some alternative places and sightseeings where less tourists are going. Thanks again for the great tour on a typically Faroese weather day 😉

Excellent five star tour I did a tour with Ditte. Last year I did also a tour of hers and because that one was also excellent, do this time another tour with her. If you have a good connection with a guide or the guide is really open then that's a win. Then next time you may do a tour again with the same guide. You feel really comfortable with her and you are in safe hands during the hike. Lots of beautiful photography made from her of mine. I would definitely do a photography tour with her if you're into that. Thanks for the beautiful day Ditte ;)

Excellent halfday tour on Sandoy. If you have time left and want to see more then the highlights on Faroes Islands, then this is a great alternative. Average lesser tourists comes on this island. The small hike was definitely one of the highlights of the tour. You can choose between hike or a town visit. As we already seeing lots of towns during the tour, I prefer the hike. In the end a café restaurant stop where you can eat delicious fish and chips. Note it's not included in the tour and you have to pay that yourself, bit that's okay for me.

Excellent communication before the tour and also the hike itself. It was a great moderate hike and also the return walking true the tunnel was amazing experience. One of the few tunnels in Faroes Islands and worldwide you can walk ;) Really beautiful sightseeings and also the history of the original walk the postman did. In the end in a town we eat in a café restaurant some delicious Faroese snacks. Thanks for the great day ;)

Excellent tour and also communication with the guide :) The tour starts in Klaksvík harbor where the guide is waiting for you. If you only use public transport, then bus is the only option. I would use the express, fast bus as it only takes around 45 minutes when it's not rush hour. I would go around 3-4 hours before, so you can explore the beautiful town and it's surroundings. The tour itself was amazing, hike was easy. You need however need good hiking boots in case of weather, especially in autumn. You also take a visit to the tourguides home to try some delicious Faroese food. The tourguides wife had made it and together with them we had a nice chat. The way back was with taxi as there no bus in the late evening. The taxi is a bit pricey, around 1050 DKK but it's totally worth the tour. Thanks for the great day ;)

We had the pleasure of having Jens as our local guide, and how we enjoyed it! The tour was well paced, taking us through the history but also explaining how it is today in such a good reflected way. The knowledge, facts and numbers he could answer our questions with was so impressive. We recommend this to all that wants to know more about the Faroe Islands, past and present.
