Welcome to Faroe Islands

I had a fantastic time. Despite the poor weather, our guide made it so special for all of us. Anita is a superb guide. Extremely professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. I asked a lot of questions about the islands and she always had an answer. She is a true asset to your company.

Our guide was very helpful. We enjoyed every view point and the guide's talking. Especially lake hiking was amazing and impressive to us.

Jens was a great tour guide to see the capital, and I would highly recommend his tour! He is very kind, and also has a deep knowledge of the Faroes. I asked many questions throughout, and I appreciated how Jens gave very insightful answers. I would also encourage doing this tour towards the beginning of your trip because you will learn so much about Tórshavn and Faroese culture.

Great tour. The pace was a little slow but allowed taking in the views. We saw thousands of puffins and able to get as close as 5 feet to some. The scenery is awesome. The guide was very informative and provided coffee/snacks upon arrival, a light lunch to take on the trail and fish soup at the end. Our tour was cancelled/rescheduled twice due to the weather and the boat not running but they made rescheduling easy. Fortunately we booked near the beginning of our time in the Faroe's and were able to be flexible. Definitely recommended.

It was my first trip to the Faroe Islands and Jens Petur was an excellent guide to on the Northern Islands tour. We had lots of opportunity to walk and see really amazing scenery and other islands from the viewpoints Jens Petur brought us to on the island of Vidoy, Bordoy, Kunoy and Esturoy. I'm already thinking of a revisit to the islands where I will definitely use Guide to Faroe Islands for the wonderfully warm and knowledgeable guides to the islands.

This was the highlight of our trip to the Faroe Islands and an absolute must do!
Jógvan made this experience unforgettable! The day before our tour, he reached out to recommend moving it earlier because of the weather. He was spot on. It started pouring just as we were walking back from the Kallur Lighthouse, which would have been exactly when we were arriving if we’d kept our original time. It rained hard for the rest of the evening, and we were so grateful we trusted his advice. Between being a local weather expert and a farmer, he really knows the island better than anyone!
Even though we had a slightly shorter window after changing the schedule, we never felt like we missed out on a thing. Jógvan made sure we experienced everything we had hoped for, answered every question we threw his way, and shared fascinating local history and folklore that made Kalsoy come alive.

One of the most memorable parts of the day was being welcomed into his home for a meal prepared by his wonderful wife. Sharing traditional Faroese food in such a warm, personal setting was something we’ll never forget and made the experience feel so much more authentic.

You can tell how deeply Jógvan cares about Kalsoy and loves sharing it with others. We left with a much greater appreciation for the island, its people, and its history\. We can’t thank him enough for such a special day!

Amazing trip

It was my first trip to the Faroe Islands and Elsa Maria conducted a fantastic tour of amazing locations on the islands from the rugged cliffs at Gjógv, Fossá and Múlafossur. This was the second tour I took with them and Elsa Maria's brother showed me around the Northern Islands the day before on a separate tour. I highly recommend using Guide to Faroe Islands if you want wonderfully warm and knowledgeable guides to the islands.

The whole trip to Eysturoy island was really fascinating. The guide was experienced and extremely helpful. He told the island’s history and folktales in a very engaging way. We really enjoyed the trip a lot. The lunch was excellent.

Loved it. Highly recommend. It is a different experience to see cliffs from the seaside. Great boat, excellent route, good price.

Eerst hadden we verkeerd geboekt, gemaild en hadden zo snel een mail terug met de juiste boeking. Heel erg fijn. De instructies naar de boot waren duidelijk. De boottocht zelf was prachtig. Hadden een hele fijne kapitein en gids! Waren gezellig aan het zingen en kletsen, maar ook toegankelijk voor onze vragen. Ze hebben er echt iets leuks van gemaakt. Dikke aanrader om te boeken.

After being met at the Harbor Oda started sharing all her knowledge of the Faro Islands and especially Mykines with us. She showed us around the island, showed us everything that is done to make tourists aware of the culture and the nature of the island. She shared her love for puffin and the respect of their environment. We had a typical and locally provided lunch. We're glad we chose this way to see Mykines.

The boat ride had amazing views and was rough at times, but great overall.

The “See it All” tour on July 14, 2026 guided by Elsa Maria Bærentsen was excellent and memorable. I’ll rate it 5/5 and I shall recommend this to all my friends on my social media if they visit Faroe Islands.👍🏻👏🏻
