Your 5-hour journey begins at the harbour in Tórshavn. The wooden vessel Norðlýsið will then sail along the Streymoy island and then reach the scenic cliffs on the east side of Hestur island. Here, you will set off in a small motorboat and sail into Klæmintsgjógv, the largest sea-cave in the world. These truly breathtaking surroundings will stay in you forever.
Take in the sights as the captain on the vessel and his experienced crew will take you into the very darkest part of the cave and as far into the cave as possible, When you reach the very end of the cave, you will hear live music performed with all its natural sounds and effects.
The cave is massive and measures 348.000 cubic metres. After this extraordinary experience in the vast cave, you will reboard the schooner. The cliffs on the east side of Hestur island are rugged and sheer. There are also high basalt column that rises out of the Atlantic Ocean where birds are nesting during the Faroese summer.
When you are onboard the schooner again after the amazing experience inside the Klæmintsgjógv Cave, you will be served a delicious fish soup. The soup will do good as the captain slowly sails back to Tórshavn.
