Jump onboard the legendary ship Norðlýsið and explore the mysterious depths inside the island of Hestur. Venturing into the world's largest sea-cave is the ultimate experience when exploring the island of sea-caves, Hestur.

Your 5-hour journey begins at the harbour in Tórshavn. The wooden vessel Norðlýsið will then sail along the Streymoy island and then reach the scenic cliffs on the east side of Hestur island. Here, you will set off in a small motorboat and sail into Klæmintsgjógv, the largest sea-cave in the world. These truly breathtaking surroundings will stay in you forever.

Take in the sights as the captain on the vessel and his experienced crew will take you into the very darkest part of the cave and as far into the cave as possible, When you reach the very end of the cave, you will hear live music performed with all its natural sounds and effects.

The cave is massive and measures 348.000 cubic metres. After this extraordinary experience in the vast cave, you will reboard the schooner. The cliffs on the east side of Hestur island are rugged and sheer. There are also high basalt column that rises out of the Atlantic Ocean where birds are nesting during the Faroese summer.

When you are onboard the schooner again after the amazing experience inside the Klæmintsgjógv Cave, you will be served a delicious fish soup. The soup will do good as the captain slowly sails back to Tórshavn.

This caving tour offer you the ultimate nature and wildlife experience. The deck on the wooden vessel is the perfect platform for viewing and photography. The schooner is a beautiful piece of local craftsmanship as the ship is in Tórshavn by Faroe Islanders.

The Caving tour to Hestur is a wonderful and amazing trip. The Captain and all his crew was very gentle all time. A delightful day trip in a beautiful wooden ship combined with a fast boat. We visited the amazing Caves and even saw a music performance inside the cave! This tour is the best investment that we have done visiting Faroe Islands.
