You sail from the marina of Funningsfjørður on Eysturoy. You sail out through the fiord close to the beautiful eastern coastline. The high mountains on both sides of the fiord give shelter from winds. The seashore is varied with gorges and interesting landscapes.
You head towards Elduvíksnes and sail through Barmur towards the natural gorge Elduvíksgjógv. You procede along the shore by idyllic village Elduvík. To the east you see the majestic island Kallsoy. Here you cast your fishing line! Typical fish in these waters are Atlantic cod, haddock, whiting, saithe, ling and tusk.
You sail across the fiord towards Funningsmúli and try to cast your line of the coast. On your way back to the marina you follow the scenic western seashore of the fiord where you will sail close to the beautiful village of Funningur.
