We had a great time on this trip. The Captain welcomed us onboard an entertained us with cool facts all the way around Nolsoy. He even helped us get some great pictures of puffins on the cliffs. We enjoyed the trip very much even though the waters was a bit rough at times. Thank God for the suits we were given at the start of the tour. We were warm and cosy all the way even though we got some good splashes from the sea. We can fully recommend this trips for a great experience!

What a wonderful trip! We meet the boat at exactly the start time and we were warmly greeted by the captain. The boat was clean and easy to move about on. We were given floatation suits that were also meant to keep us warm, and we were! The trip was fabulous. We learned local customs, history, natural history and more. We saw Puffins and seals and all number of birds. What a true delight. Clearly the captain knows the islands and loves nature. Don’t miss this trip !

Despite telling us that he had just experienced treacherous seas on the east side of Nolsoy earlier that afternoon that made it too difficult to circumnavigate Nolsoy, this risk-taking “captain” Flossi did the same thing with us but he did sail over to the east side of the island. We immediately asked him to turn around but he said it was too dangerous, forcing us to endure 90 minutes being lashed by a strong east wind on the east side of the island while he had to circumnavigate far out to sea to avoid being swept onto the rocks. In response to our follow-up complaint, he lied by saying we told him we were experienced sailors and had consented to this hair brain idea. UNTRUE ON BOTH COUNTS! His poor judgment and recklessness endangered us and, it goes without saying, resulting in “full blown” sea sickness that took hours to pass.

Exceptional Experience on the Water
My sister and I had the most extraordinary boat trip with Captain Flosi to see the puffins of Nolsoy Island. Firstly, what an incredible captain! Even in big waves, Captain Flosi maneuvered the boat so expertly that we felt entirely safe and enjoyed every minute. We sincerely enjoyed chatting with Captain Flosi — he is so knowledgeable and kind. The boat has a cabin where you can stay warm and then an open deck area from which you can see the puffins fly right by! We explored the whole perimeter of the island and it is breathtaking. Green sea cliffs that jut straight up from the ocean and more sea birds swooping and calling than you can envision. We also had the great good fortune to see a number of beautiful seals. Even on the tail end of puffin season, Captain Flosi was able to point out all the puffins in the area. We were so grateful to finally see these incredible birds in person! This was our absolute favorite excursion we did in the Faroes (and I should mention that there was hot coffee and even chocolates onboard the boat too!). Huge thanks for such a wonderful experience.
