Join a 3 to 4 day hike (depending on weather, shape etc) from the northern end of Streymoy, the largest of the Faroe Islands, to the southern. On the Streymoy Pilgrimage you will walk several hours each day and spend the nights in tent in the beautiful nature along the route.

Your goal is to enjoy the moment and the nature. This is the perfect tour for those seeking solitude or spiritual enlightenment. You will have peace to do so.

When hiking from the North to the South of Streymoy, you will reach several summits along the way. The journey ends at the old Church monument in Kirkjubø where you will be driven to Tórshavn where you can have a shower before having a nice meal in Tórshavn in the evening.

Streymoy island is diversified naturally. The coast to the West and North consists of almost precipitous bird cliffs. The landscape is wild and deserted, while the South and East coasts are more open with deep fjords and settlements which grew up around the estuaries at the bottom of the fjords. Inland there are high mountains, deep vales, lakes and streams.

The streams on this all-encompassing nature tour are fantastic. They are everywhere in all shapes and sizes, from small springs to wild meandering rivers and pretty cataracts. You will see waterfalls cascading over layers of rocky formations.

The most intriguing aspect of the streams is how they change. They depend on the precipitation, and during rainless period they quickly dry up.It doesn't take more than a rainy day or night for them to fill up, so that the little inconspicuous brook turns into a raging torrent.
