Join this hike in Suðuroy where you will be served traditional Faroese food and two cans of tasty Faroese beers. Coffee is also included in the price as well as some Faroese home-made snacks.

This is a 3-4-hour guided tour along the cozy walking route from Trongisvágur to the beautiful valley "Hvannhagi". Suðuroy is one of the most untouched places in the Faroe Islands.

You will stop a couple of times along the route - to enjoy the food and beer and to relax. And you will be treated to some fun local history. When you get to the top and look towards the northeast, you have a magnificent view of three outlying islands Lítla Dímun, Stóra Dímun and Sandoy.

After about a 20-minute walk, you arrive at Grindin, which is where you go down in Hvannhagi. Here, you begin to see parts of the beautiful Hvannhagi. You also have a view to other islands further away, for example, Koltur and Vágar.

This tour starts in Suðuroy. In order to get to Suðuroy, take the ferry Smyril from Tórshavn with daily departures. The starting point for this tour is the hospital in Tvøroyri, go up to Ovari Vegur and continue left in the direction of Trongisvágur. Once you have walked approximately one and a half kilometres, you arrive at the gate leading to the outfield. Here is a sign that reads Hvannhagi. The path begins.

The route down to Hvannhagi and back is somewhat difficult. The maximum hight on this tour is 230 metres above sea level.

Now, do not let this chance pass by. Check availability by choosing a date.
