The guide put us on the fish! He was very nice and gave a brief instruction on how to catch the cod with jigs. I only gave him four stars for two reasons. First, he only cleaned one fish for us to bring with us. I had to clean the rest of the fish i caught myself which seemed a bit ridiculous after what we spent per person. He left my son and I on the dock with the boat by ourselves without any assistance. The other disappointment was the length of time fishing. The half day is from 9:30 to 13:30. I takes a hour to get to the fishing spots even though it is only a couple of KM away. The boat is EXTREMELY slow. I’m just glad we were able to catch a lot of fish in the two hours of fishing.

Fantastic experience.
It would be just good to have a little safety brief from the captain before the trip (as a captain should do) and a bit more of explanations and tips about high sea fishing for those who are inexperienced in this field.
Info about the fish itself would have been nice too.

We had a great time on the tour. Between my husband and I, we caught 6 haddock and took them home (to our AirBnb) to make some of the best fish & chips ever!!

Amazing fishing trip. Without any fishing experience, my family including two kids watched 8 haddocks and 1 more fish (forgot its names;). We brought them to our airB&B house, then cooked very delicious Maeun-tang(Korean spicy fish stew)!. Captains was so kind to wait for our little late arrival & told how to reach to his ship in Vestmanna harbour. Also, so much helpful to teach & guide fishing to whole family.

We visited Faroe Islands in the summer and took this tour. The tour starts a little away from the Vestmanna Tourist Centre. The captain was the guide as well. The tour starts with first sailing 1 hr away from the coast of Vestmanna. Then we stopped at various fishing sites in the sea. The captain really helped us understand the technique of fishing since we were fishing for the first time. We took some time to learn it but were able to catch two big fish each. The boat also has a filet station where you can filet the fish to take it home. Since we did not know how to do it, the captain’s family onboard also offered to do it for us. It was one of the most fun things we did at Faroe and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting.

Hands down the best fishing trip I’ve ever been on!! So much fun and actually caught fish!! The Captain circled us in and out until we found the bounty of fish and then everyone was pulling up fish left and right!! I also caught an octopus!!!!! Talk about thrilling…I wasn’t expecting to catch anything like that!!! Definitely worth the money and I highly recommend booking this fishing tour!!!
