We can recommend booking this kayak trip. We were a couple. It has been many years since we both had been in a kayak, but it went really well. Good equipment and easy to get to the water. Poul was very helpful with everything.
You can easily take food and drink with you, as your car is parked right where the kayaks are sent in the water. You can easily take a break from the kayaks and go up to eat and drink, and out into the kayaks again.
A good trip on Sandsvatn 🙂

Our guide was wonderful. He met us right on time, and he helped us get in the water and made sure that we were able to stay dry, move, and not flip over. He had plenty of stories to tell us about the local lake of Sandur, and he told us about the local culture of the island of Sandoy as well as the overall culture of the Faroe Islands. The tour was beautiful, and it’s nice to kayak and see the island from the water as the sun was shining and beautiful for most of it. I got stuck a couple of times in the shallows, but our guide was always there to help us out. He even invited us back to his house for coffee/tea/water and showed us what life was like there on the island! We had to catch a ferry, and he told us what time to leave so we would make it on time. All and all, a wonderful experience. Definitely recommend!

Friendly and reachable host, equipment in great condition, easy to find. Took two boys aged 11 and 12, who also fit in the kayak by themselves.

excelllent due to the flexibility of the host. 😉
Getting to the island is a bit of a puzzle because as a tourist you can seriously get stuck in the booking (im)possibilities for the ferry.
Host ended up having to help us book a returnticket and told me he had done it many times before.. you probably heard that one before 🙂
