If you take a public bus from Vágar Airport (FAE) to Tórshavn, the bus will terminate at the harbour in Tórshavn at Farstøðin. The bus terminal is a 5 minutes walk from the main square Vaglið in the capital, Tórshavn. The old grass roofed government buildings Tinganes in the oldest district in the city also lies a 5 minutes walk from the Tórshavn bus terminal. Just beside the bus terminal, you will find the Skansin fort and the lighthouse there.
