    We booked a trip to Hestur, and it was absolutely spectacular! We thought they were joking when they went into the blackest of caves the width of the rubber boat, only to realise that there actually was a path through the mountain. A highlight of the tour.

    The trip was pretty cool…we saw a lot of the island such as the nice puffins living there, the caves and the cliffs. In my opinion, it was better than expected. I can really recommend this tour.

    I absolutely enjoyed the Rib tour to Hestur! It was one of the (many) highlights of my stay in the Faroe Islands. I loved the fact that the full potential of the rib was used: both to get us close to the shore and inside some of the sea caves, and to have us experience it’s high speed (and ability to make sharp turns!). I enjoyed the magnificent sights, was glad that we were always given plenty of time to take photographs and always felt secure and in good hands. The guide was very welcoming, kind and helpful. Thanks a lot for this awesome experience!

    The trip was amazing! We saw lots of puffins and other birds, and we got a bit of adrenaline as well. Thanks to the warm clothes we got, it was comfortable even though the wind was quite strong. Our guide was sooo helpful (he even gave us a ride back to Torshavn) and as a local he knew and shared lots of informations about Faroe Islands and the nature there. Absolutely worth booking! The trip is also ideal to take together with a visit to the church and ruins in Kirkjubøur as it’s only a kilometre away from the meeting point.

    It was marvellous – unfortunately we coudn’t go to Hestur as plannes because of the weather, but the boat guide took us instead for a tour around Nolsoy and it was amazing anyway 🙂 We saw lots of birds and some caves, so even thoug it was cold and rainy, we had fun! And then the guide even gave us a ride to Torshavn so we didn’t need to wait for the next bus – it was really cool 🙂

    We had a fantastic time on the boat tour! I was a little nervous at first as it is intimidating to put on the safety gear and get into the rib boat. However, the ride was super fun. We got close to puffins and other birds and got to see the cliffs up close. Our driver even took us into some sea caves which was awesome! Super fun and exciting tour – a highlight of our trip.

    Vi opplevde turen som helt fantastisk. 🤩Tydelig at båtfører var særs godt kjent med båt og havområde, noe som gjorde at vi følte oss trygge ombord. ( vi er godt båtvante i utgangspunktet) Damen på kaia var også meget hyggelig og hjelpsom. Skulle det være noe å sette fingeren på, måtte det være at vi som satt fremst i båten ikke hørte hva som ble fortalt om aktuelle sted. Lar det seg gjøre med en høytaler i front?? 🤔På en skala fra 1-6 gir vi dere en 6. Toppscore. 😀Blir å anbefale dere til andre.

    This was the first and one of the BEST things we did in Faroe islands. So exciting and educational at the same time. The driver really knows how to work the boat safely when the waves and wind are high. The puffin sightings were incredible, we saw a seal too. Most beautiful water and caves!! And the end was the best, he played a beautiful song by Eivor (Faroese singer) in the sea cave. Her voice is incredible with the acoustics in the cave. Last Kingdom fans will probably shed a tear or two ;).

    The trip was incredible. The views were amazing, we saw so many bird species and we even saw some seals! The guide was knowledgable and adjusted the trip a little based on his expertise. We really loved it!

    Our Hestur trip had a change of location and instead we went around Nolsoy as the winds prevented a safe tour to Hestur. We were pleased with the substitution and would have been disappointed to have the tour cancelled. The tour was amazing with great bird watching, a curious seal, spectacular views and ended with a thrilling bit of speed that had us all excited and laughing. I have been calling the Faroe Islands my happy place.
    Hope to see you all next June!

    Luckily, I received a text message about the new options for the tour just as I got to the hotel. I quickly drove to the port and joined the earlier tour. We went to Nolsoy instead of Hestur due to weather predictions for later in the day. The captain welcomed everyone, and gave us our warm suits and life jackets. He went across the waves at high speed, which was a lot of fun! We had beautiful views all around Nolsoy and saw the lighthouse and a lot of birds including puffins. We also saw a few seals. It was magical going into some of the caves with the boat, which was an advantage of being on a small boat. The captain also told us a few local stories which were interesting. We zoomed back to the port and everyone was smiling.

    Probably the coolest thing I did here. The guide is amazing with the boat going fast and doing crazy turns but still making you feel safe and secure. Going into the caves and being right under cliffs was something like I had never experienced. Definitely recommend doing this and it is well worth the money!

    En fantastisk tur og en kæmpe oplevelse. Vores tur blev godt nok på grund af vejret ændret fra en tur til Hestur til en tur rundt om Nolsoy. Det var helt vildt godt og spændende at se grotterne og og sejle ind i disse. Skipper var rigtig god til at fortælle om de steder vi gjorde stop. Han fortalte både om livet på Nolsoy, fuglene m.m.

    Es hat unsere Erwartungen mehr als nur übertroffen. Leider blieben die Papageientaucher aus aber der Blick auf die 300m hohen Klippen waren so surreal mit den tausenden Möwen über unseren Köpfen. Eine absolute Empfehlung, das darf man nicht verpassen!

    Fantastic rib boat trip to Hestur – circumnavigating the island… watching birds nesting and admiring several caves! The boat team was professional, informative and lots of fun crossing the bay at full speed!

    We were supposed to go on this tour, but due to the windy weather, the plans changed the day before. However, the communication about the changes were very clear and friendly. The tour, we went on instead, was outstanding. We laughed so much and got to sing as loud as we could in the caves. I’d recommend this tour to everyone who wants to explore the west side on the islands from sea side. It was definitely one for the books!

    It was a great experience, due to the weather we did not ride to Hestur, but to Nolsoy. This was great as well! We saw seals, puffins and loads of other birds.

    Our Gide told a lot out Nolsay and it’s stories. Even had music on board which completed the trip.

    Probably the highlight of my trip to the Faroe Islands! This was such an incredible experience. Without wanting to spoil too much, there seemed to have gone quite some thought into making this an unforgettable experience. Our guides/captains were fantastic with great knowledge of the history and landscape and we felt super safe and entertained the whole way.

    I’ve never been in such a fast moving boat, it was truly thrilling and the sea was a bit “rowdy”, as one of the guys called it, which made for a very fun ride. It was luckily not too rowdy to get close to the cliffs and go into the caves, so it was a wonderful tour I would absolutely recommend and try again.

    Trods lidt tvivlsomt vejr kom vi på vandet (vi blev tilbudt at udskyde). Vi er vildt glade for vi bare tog afsted.
    Vores skipper fortalte gode historier og spillede fed nordisk musik. Det var en tur til Nolsoy hvor vi så sæler, masser fugle og Lunder. Fuld fart og Týr (færøsk metal) på anlægget samt vildt vejr gjorde turen super fed autentisk. Fuld plade herfra. Tusind tak!

    This tour was an excellent way to see the birds and interesting geology of Hestur Island. Our tour needed to be rescheduled due to motor maintenance and the captain was very helpful in rescheduling us for another tour during our time in the Faroe Islands. The boat holds about 10 passengers and there are only two seats per row, so everyone gets a great view. In areas with a lot of birds, the captain was great about rotating the boat so everyone could see. I would happily join this tour again and/or look for others with the same captain when we return to the Faroe Islands.

    This tour was the highlight of our trip. It was just the right amount of everything. Adrenaline, facts/information, sightseeing and bird watching. Nothing was over or underdone and you could not get bored. It was all just enough to feel satisfied but not overdone. Absolutely excellent!! Was the best use of our money and i could not recommend it more.

    Vi havde en fornøjelig tur med rib-båd fredag, som til tider nærmest fløj afsted over vandet med 90km i timen. Vores skipper kendte havet, stenene og grotterne så godt som sin egen lomme. Vi så en gråsæl i en af grotterne, mange Lunder/søpapegøjer og adskillige andre fugle. Vi kom godt langt ind i grotterne og igennem en, så tæt på væggene at vi måtte kunne røre klipperne og kun lige akurat kunne komme igennem. Skipper var mega sej til at styre og havde fuld kontrol med båd og vandet, så jeg følte mig tryg og heldig over at få mulighed for at opleve Færøerne (Hestur) på denne måde. Det er absolut ‘et must do’ og næste gang vil jeg tage mine to sønner med. 1000 tak for en god tur fra vandsiden, tilpas med pauser til fotos, ro og fart – på den helt rigtige måde. Mvh. Louise

    These guys were simply the best. The music and the overall experience, they had a song for every type of scenery, which they chose carefully! They take their time to stop, sometimes go quickly on the water to make you feel a great experience, they get close to the caves! They explain everything in great detail, you can see that these guys genuinely care! You will see puffins and so many different kinds of birds I had never seen before. You definitely get your money’s worth!

    Amazing!!! We all loved this experience. The caves were the best, especially with the music. The nesting birds was a once in a lifetime experience. Hester Island is a must do when visiting the Faroe Islands. Our guide was exceptional.

    Fantastic experience with a very nice crew (and, luckily, amazing weather). Those crazy Faroese cliffs are even more incredible up close, and it was delightful to see our first puffins of the trip as well as a couple of seals. Absolutely recommended.

    This was extremely fun and worth the money. The weather did not corporate on the day of our planned boat tour so the company was accommodating and offered a refund or a tour the following day. We chose a tour the following day and circled the island of Nolsoy instead. I would highly recommend this experience!

    Our boat-trip to Hestur (as well as out general stay on the Faroe Islands) was magical. By far our best nature experience to date, and that’s coming from a Norwegian perspective.

    We loved how close we got to the cliffs and also the fact that we actually drove inside the caves. Thank you for creating this spectacular experience.

    Great tour even thought it is not bird season! Wonderful way to see the Faroes from the water.
    Guide was very friendly and set some of the ride to local music. Especially loved seeing the jelly fish.

    I had a lovely time thank you. It was very memorable! I loved how fast the boat went and the seats were very comfortable! The guide was very funny! We were lucky with the weather. As a solo traveller with no Faroese language, I felt safe and welcomed.

Initially I had mixed feelings about the use of music in some places because of the contrast between the beautiful and wild nature, and the modern world. But the captain’s choices were very appropriate for the locations and I decided it added to the overall effect. Thanks again.
